Sugar-Free Strawberry Chia Jam

Very easy, full of fiber, bursting with brightness, texture, flavour - and free from refined sugar, pesticides, dyes, and artificial flavour - which can be hiding in some commercial jams.

  • 4 cups frozen organic strawberries

  • 4 TBSP maple syrup

  • 3 TBSP chia seeds

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt


  • Add everything to a medium pot on medium heat. When it starts to boil, immediately bring down to low and let simmer for 20 mins, stirring frequently, and mashing some of the berries with the back of a fork.

  • Remove from heat and let cool. The jam will thicken up and set.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week

It will be tart and sweet, with gelatinous chunks of strawberry and delicate little pearls of chia. It’s delicious on something toasty and salty, added to yogurt, oatmeal, etc.
