It is well-established science that healthy fats can reduce inflammation, help stabilize mood, and support brain health.
Avocados are actually one of the overall healthiest foods on the planet, and are full of healthy fat.
My favourite way to eat avocado is in the form of guacamole. And over the years, I’ve had enough guac-offs and ingredient disagreements, to stand behind my favourite version:
Ingredients:
4 perfectly ripe avocados
3 - 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
half a lemon, squeeze
half a lime, squeezed
1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
half a red onion
1/2 tsp sea salt
lots of fresh ground pepper
Steps:
Add everything except the cilantro and red onion. I like mine a bit chunky so I mash & mix with a fork until just combined.
Add the cilantro and red onion and mix again to finish.
